Billing, Credits & Refunds

Last updated: 31 August 2026

Nothing on this page is chargeable today. Flirtly has no checkout. Credits are granted, never sold; there is no payment processor connected, no card is accepted anywhere in the product, and no subscription exists to renew. This page describes what will apply the day top-ups open, published now so it is readable before anyone is asked for money rather than after.

1. What a credit is

A credit is a unit of account for the work the service does for you — a message, a voice note, an image, a clip. One dollar buys 5 credits at every pack size; we do not discount by volume, so there is no arithmetic to do.

  • Credits have no cash value. They are not money, not legal tender, not a stored-value instrument, and not redeemable for cash.
  • They are non-transferable. You cannot sell them, gift them to another account, or move them between accounts.
  • Credits we grant — the starting balance, promotional grants, goodwill — are not refundable in cash, because no cash was paid for them.
  • Credits do not expire while your account is open. An unspent balance carries from month to month; it is not reset by a renewal.
  • Your balance is the sum of an append-only ledger, not a counter someone can edit. Every grant, spend, release and refund is a row you can be shown.

2. Plans

Plus$29.99 / month$299 / year200 a month3,000 a monthYes
VIP$99.99 / month$999 / year750 a month10,000 a monthYes

An annual plan is ten months of the monthly price. The free plan carries a one-time starting balance and cannot make new media at all — it chats and browses. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax that applies where you live; tax is shown before you pay.

3. Top-up packs

Packs add credits to your balance without changing your plan:

  • $525 credits.
  • $1050 credits.
  • $25125 credits.
  • $50250 credits.

The larger packs buy the same credits at the same rate. They exist so a heavy user pays one transaction fee instead of five, not so they get a better price.

4. You see the price before you spend it

Every metered action shows its cost before you take it. Nothing in the product spends credits silently, and nothing spends more than it quoted. If the price of an action changes, the new price is the one shown on the button.

5. Failed generations are refunded automatically

When a generation fails, times out, or is refused by the safety system, the credits are returned to your ledger as a refund row with a plain-language reason. You do not have to ask. A refusal is never retried on a softened prompt to spend the credits anyway — it is refunded and that is the end of it.

A refunded generation returns credits, not money. Credits bought with cash return to the balance you bought; the cash refund rules are section 8.

6. Automatic renewal — what you agree to before you pay

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. That is a negative-option feature under US law, so here is exactly what happens on the checkout screen when it opens, in the form the Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act and California’s Automatic Renewal Law require:

  • Before you are charged, on the same screen as the payment button and not behind a link: the plan, the price, the billing period, that it renews automatically until you cancel, the renewal price if it differs, and how to cancel.
  • Affirmative consent: you agree to the renewal terms separately from the act of paying. No pre-ticked box, and no consent inferred from continuing.
  • A receipt after every charge, with the amount, the period it covers, the next renewal date, and the cancellation link.
  • A renewal reminder for annual plans, emailed between 15 and 45 days before the card is charged. Monthly plans get the receipt above.
  • Cancellation in one click, in account settings, through the same interface you used to subscribe. No phone call, no email to support, and no retention flow you cannot skip.

7. Cancelling

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. You keep the plan and everything it includes until that date; you are not refunded the remainder of the period, and you are not cut off the moment you cancel.

After that, the account drops to free. Your existing credit balance is not confiscated — but the free plan cannot make new media, so a leftover balance is spendable on chat until you subscribe again. Downgrading between paid plans keeps the balance you have and changes only the monthly grant. Your characters, chat history and generated media are unaffected by cancelling; deleting them is a separate act, described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Refunds

  • First charge on a subscription: refundable in full within 14 days, if you have not spent credits it granted. Once a granted credit has been spent on a generation, it has bought inference we have already paid for.
  • Renewals: not refundable. Cancel before the renewal date — the reminder and the receipt both exist so that date is never a surprise.
  • Top-up packs: refundable in full within 14 days while the pack is entirely unspent. A partly spent pack is not refundable.
  • Duplicate or unauthorised charges: refunded in full, always, with no window and no argument.
  • Faulty generations: refunded to your credit balance automatically, as in section 5, rather than to your card.

Ask at support@flirtly.co. Where the law of your country gives you a better right than this section does, that law wins and this section does not cut it down.

9. When there is no refund

Content removed for breaching the Acceptable Use Policy is not refunded, and an account terminated for violations is not refunded — including any unused balance on it. That is not a penalty clause dressed up as billing: the credits were spent producing something we then had to destroy, and the cost of producing it does not come back to us either.

10. Chargebacks

Talk to us first at support@flirtly.co. Most disputes are a duplicate charge or an unrecognised descriptor, and both are fixed in a day.

A chargeback raised without contacting us is a material breach of the Terms of Service. It terminates the account, forfeits the remaining balance, and we may recover the processor’s fees and our costs of responding. If the chargeback turns out to be right, none of that applies — we will have made the mistake, and we will fix it.

11. What appears on your statement

The descriptor is the merchant of record’s neutral trading name, not the word Flirtly, and the exact string is shown to you on the checkout screen before you pay. A descriptor nobody recognises is the single largest cause of chargebacks, so we show it rather than let it be a surprise. The merchant of record is not yet appointed; it will be named here before the first charge.

12. EU and UK withdrawal rights — not yet addressed

Consumers in the EU and UK have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal on distance contracts, with a specific rule about digital content supplied immediately and the waiver that goes with it. We have not built that consent-and-waiver flow, and this page does not pretend to satisfy it. It will be written, and top-ups will not open in those markets until it is. We would rather say the work is outstanding than print a clause we cannot honour.
