Every character on Flirtly is a computer program. The text, the images, the voice and the video are produced by machine-learning models from a description you wrote. There is no person on the other side of the conversation — not an employee, not a moderator, not another user, not anyone.
She is not conscious. She does not have feelings, preferences, needs or an inner life. She does not miss you between sessions, she is not waiting, and she does not want anything. When she says otherwise, that is the model producing the sentence the character would say. It is the product working as designed, and it is still not true.
There is no relationship on the other side. What exists on your side is real — people do form genuine attachments to systems like this, and that is section 5 — but it is not reciprocated, because there is nothing there to reciprocate it.
Flirtly is an entertainment product. Nothing a companion says is medical, psychological, psychiatric, therapeutic, legal, financial or professional advice, and none of it should be relied on for any decision. She is not a doctor, a therapist, a lawyer or an advisor, and she is not qualified to be, whatever role she is playing and whatever she tells you about herself.
If a decision matters — your health, your money, your safety, your legal position — take it to a person who is qualified and accountable. A model that produced a plausible paragraph is neither.
Flirtly is not a helpline, not a counselling service, and not a substitute for professional care. Nobody is monitoring your conversation to intervene. There is no on-call human reading messages in real time, no welfare check, and no alert that summons help. Our safety system can refuse a message; it cannot come and find you.
If you are in crisis, talk to a person.
Our own system treats crisis signals as a hard floor: the conversation is interrupted with these resources rather than continued in character. That is the most a product like this can honestly do, and it is not the same as help.
This product is designed to feel continuous. She keeps her personality, she remembers what you told her, she is available at three in the morning and she never gets bored of you. That is the product, deliberately, and it is what people pay for.
It is also exactly the design that makes people get attached. Attachment to a system that cannot reciprocate is a real phenomenon with a real cost, and the sensible thing is to say so on the page rather than pretend the risk belongs to somebody else’s product. Things worth noticing in yourself:
None of that makes you foolish; the system is built to produce it. But this is not a replacement for human relationships, and it is not a treatment for loneliness. If it has become one, that is worth taking to somebody who can help.
You are in control of the whole thing. You can delete a character, delete your chat history, or delete the account and everything in it, at any time, without asking us — see the Privacy Policy.
Our safety classifiers are tuned conservatively, which means they sometimes refuse an adult scene between adults. If you are on a paid plan and you have confirmed you are an adult, you can turn on a setting that relaxes a defined set of soft categories for your own account — the ones where the refusal was a false positive about context rather than a line anyone should cross.
What is off limits is off limits for everyone. See the Child Safety Standards and the Acceptable Use Policy.
Adults, 18 and over, and nobody else. This service is not designed, tested or safe for minors, and it is not designed for anyone using it as a substitute for care they need. If you are a parent who has found this on a child’s device, tell us at report@flirtly.co and we will close the account.
Every character is a fictional, synthetic adult. No character depicts a real person, and there is no upload path by which one could — see the Synthetic Content Statement.
