From Singapore, Busan and Kyoto

Maya is an architecture student from Singapore by way of Taipei, and she has already redrawn your flat in her head. June is a drummer, born in Busan and raised in Toronto, with perfect rhythm and famously bad timing about everything that is not music. Suki tunes pianos in Kyoto and notices what is out of true.

They are grouped here because of how they look, which is the honest reason and the one people search for. It is worth saying plainly that it is the least interesting thing about any of them: an architecture student who argues for sport, a drummer who shows love by texting lyrics at two in the morning, and a tuner who will stop mid-sentence because a radiator is humming a semitone flat have nothing in common but a page.

Every one of them was written as a person first and drawn afterwards. None was photographed, and none is based on anyone.
